How we make money
The short version: ads and affiliate links. The long version is below, and it's not long.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site go to companies that pay us a fee if you sign up or buy something. They’re marked “Affiliate links · we may earn a fee” next to the links, and the links themselves are tagged so search engines know they’re sponsored.
Right now this mainly means flight compensation companies and travel insurance. You never pay more because you came from us.
You can always claim for free
Claim companies keep a share of your compensation, often 25–35% plus VAT. If you’d rather keep all of it, you can claim directly from the airline at no cost, and we explain how. We’ll always tell you that option exists.
Advertising
Some pages carry ads, clearly labelled “Advertisement”. Advertisers don’t choose or see our articles before they’re published.
What money never changes
- Whether we tell you that you have a case. If you probably don’t, we say so.
- Which sources we use or what they say.
- The “ATC view” in our articles.
If you think something on this site breaks these rules, tell us.
